FHS hosts Bearden
TSSAA Class 6A Second Round Playoffs 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 13, at FHS’s Bill Clabo Field

The Admirals program has beaten Bearden 10 of the last 11 games beginning in 2002, with the rivals meeting in post-season play for the fourth time in the last five seasons.

Despite a resounding 42-17 Farragut defeat of Bearden at BHS’s Bill Young Field Oct. 10, Admirals skipper Eddie Courtney said the Bulldogs “are executing better.”

“And they look like they’re a little bit healthier from the standpoint of playing a lot more of their starters now,” he added

Health-wise, Courtney said his team is generally in good shape and should have all starters available.

Keys to FHS success? “The turnover ratio; we can’t turn it over, we’ve got to make them turn it over,” Courtney said.
