Farragut Beer Board grants Buffalo Wild Wings permit

Farragut’s Beer Board approved an on/off premise beer permit for Buffalo Wild Wings Grill and Bar, which will open at 11431 Parkside Drive.

In a departure from normal procedure, the restaurant applied for a permit without naming a manager.

“I think their restaurant, that this is their big seller, beer. Beer and wings,” Town Recorder Allison Myers said.

“I think they want to make sure they have that other big seller. … They want to make sure they can obtain a beer permit; they want it in writing.

“What they like to do is, when they come into a new area, they like to get pre-approval of their beer permit before they go ahead with construction,” she added.

Myers said this was the first time the Board had approved a beer permit without a manager.

Buffalo Wild Wings is based out of Minnesota, and no representative was present at the meeting.

“This will be a provisional approval,” Alderman John Williams said.

The Board approved the permit subject to Buffalo Wild Wings eventually naming a manager and returning for final approval to the Beer Board.
