Police reports
Farragut man convicted of child porn

Scott
After a lengthy investigation involving local and federal law enforcement, Farragut’s David Allen Scott pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court Dec. 3, to production of child pornography, Knox County Sheriff’s Office authorities said.

KCSO records indicate Scott, 48, had been the target of an ongoing investigation involving U.S. Postal Inspectors and Knoxville Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children Unit.

In a separate investigation involving a local child in April 2009, KCSO served a search warrant at Scott’s house at 309 Oran Road in Farragut. More than 2,000 images of child pornography were recovered on his computers.

He was arrested April 28 for possessing more than 100 child pornography images and held in Knox County jail on a $500,000 bond.

The FBI continued the investigation, resulting in the U.S. At-torney’s Office filing charges of possession and production of child pornography.

Scott faces 15-to-30-years when he is sentenced in April 2010.

Scott was first appointed to Farragut’s Visual Resources Review Board in June 2002 and last reappointed in 2008.

He remains in jail awaiting

sentencing.
