Do you believe in Santa or the spirit of Christmas? Well, we here at farragutpress do believe.
We believe in the good work that the folks at Macy’s department stores are doing by gathering letters to Santa in their store mailboxes and donating to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions by granting their wishes to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
farragutpress currently has invited classes from area first-grade school children to submit “Letters to Santa.” This is a practice farragutpress has done for several years.
This year’s letters (physical copies) will be bundled together and taken to a nearby Macy’s department store to participate in its Believe for “Make-A-Wish” promotion.
Each letter received by Macy’s in its Santa mailbox receives a dollar donation from Macy’s to the charity. The goal is $500,000, so each of your letters is helping someone, somewhere.
