SGA confence hosted by FHS

Farragut High School student Chase Brabston, left, Student Government Association’s East Tennessee representative, with Ryan Haynes, state representative for the (14th district) an FHS graduate, at the East Tennessee SGA leadership conference Friday, Nov. 6, at Two Rivers Church. The conference’s theme was “Life is a highway …. Lead the way!” To start off the conference, FHS students ran to the stage to Rascall Flatts,’ “Life is a Highway.” Haynes spoke to more than 600 East Tennessee students Friday morning.
He told the students to stay away from drugs and alcohol and to focus on cultivating relationships with friends and family. He allowed a question-and-answer segment after his message. After the session, students were split into discussion groups to “bounce” ideas off each other on how to be better leaders amongst peers.
