• Farragut Folklife Museum Committee will host “Celebrate! 75 Candles for Elvis,” an open house fundraiser in honor of Elvis Presley’s 75th birthday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 8 at Farragut Town Hall. The event will serve as grand opening of the Museum’s special Elvis exhibit, which will be on display through early spring.

• As a part of Kroger’s pandemic planning and seasonal readiness, Kroger pharmacies in Knoxville now are offering H1N1 flu vaccinations to the local community, protecting customers and associates alike from the H1N1 virus.
