This message is to voice my concerns with the delivery of the U.S. Mail to businesses in Farragut.
I work in Farragut and have out going mail — not on a daily basis. In the past six months the mail has been sporadic at best. If I can see the postman’s truck and wave him down, he takes my mail. That is a good thing.
If I am busy and do not notice the truck, then no postman.
I called the Farragut Post Office to inquire about this. I was told that if I did not RECEIVE mail that day, then the mailman is not required to stop.
I was wondering if the other businesses in Farragut were aware of this.
I called another post office in West Knoxville and talked to a supervisor, he said he knew of that rule, but most of his employees believe in customer service and check on their businesses everyday.
Here’s hoping I receive mail everyday so my customers will get their mail from me on a timely basis.
