Understanding taxes
I have been trying and trying to better understand what our government is trying to do.
I read, listen to the radio, watch TV and read left and right bloggers on my computer.
I hear the present administration and the liberals constantly complaining about the insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, big corporations, small corporations, small businesses, fat cats and rich white men all making obscene profit and too much income.
Isn’t this what the IRS taxes? If they are successful in reducing or eliminating this profit and/or income how will the government replace this source of income?
Wouldn’t it make more sense to make it easier for these people to make more income and the corporations to make higher profits so that the government could collect more taxes?
I asked my friend, Ben, who is a financial genius and knows just about everything about everything, if he would explain this to me.
He said, Ron, I could explain this to you but, since you do not have a degree from Harvard, there is no way you could understand it.
Wow, that must be a wonderful school!
