Collecting for Haiti ...

First Baptist Concord launched a “Hope4Haiti” campaign Sunday, Jan. 31. FBC is accepting donations for Haiti earthquake victims in a collection drive; drop off items from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at either the Kingston Pike or WestLake campus, or on Sunday mornings. Send checks or cash to First Baptist Concord, c/o Hope 4 Haiti, 11704 Kingston Pike, Farragut, TN 37934. The church is accepting donations of bottled water in 24 or 36 packs, personal and family tents, tarps, nylon cord and new blankets. One hundred percent of financial donations will provide water, shelter and medical supplies to earthquake victims, FBC officials said.

Through the campaign, the church is committing to “pray, give and go.” Volunteers and teams will be assembled and called to assist with food and water distribution, clean up, temporary shelter, medical needs, trauma counseling and eventually permanent structure construction. “The situation in Haiti requires an urgent, intermediate and long-term response. …We will mobilize all our resources to serve the people of Haiti in order to share HOPE in the name of Jesus Christ with them,” FBC Pastor of Missions Joey Garner said.
