• CYF youth football is hosting a Free Quarterback & Wide Receiver Camp from 6 to 7 p.m., Tuesdays, March 9 through April 6, at CAK game field for fifth-, sixth and seventh-graders only. • Town of Farragut now accepting registrations for Coed and Men’s recreational softball teams for spring leagues, which begin the week of April 12 at Mayor Bob Leonard Park, 301 Watt Road. Deadline to register and pay is 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 23. • “Throwback Night” for Farragut baseball is Thursday, April 29, at FHS’s John Heatherly Field as the Ads host Oak Ridge at 7:30 p.m. Bearden versus Karns begins the festivities at 5 p.m. Teams wear old-style uniforms, no admission is charged and food sold at greatly-reduced prices. Proceeds go to National Parkinson Foundation.

• Knoxville Track & Field Club has set up a Post Collegiate Scholarship Fund for local athletes striving to compete on a competitive level. Ten scholarships will be given per year for $500 each. Deadlines for application is Sept. 1. Scholarships will be announced April 1 and Oct. 1. Athletes may only apply for scholarships once per year. To receive a scholarship, athletes must be a U.S. citizen and a Knoxville resident. Applications will be judged on merit based on an essay and application. All athletes receiving scholarship funding will be required to volunteer for at least one Knoxville Track Club event. To receive an application, visit KTC Web site at www.ktc.org.  • Champions Junior Golf announces the 2010 Champions Junior Golf Tour, designed for boys and girls 14 and under (minimum age 5) using age and gender appropriate yardages and divisions. These one-day events are open to junior golfers of all skill levels and will be conducted in the Knoxville area during the spring, summer and fall. The player in each age group who accumulates the most points over the course of a Tour (Spring, Summer or Fall) will earn “Tour Champion” honors and will be invited to the CJGT Tournament of Champions.
