FHS robotics

Farragut High School robotics team No. 3140 and its robot, Penney, competed as a rookie team in early March at the Peachtree Regional FIRST Robotics competition in Duluth, Ga. Penney primarily played offense and scored many points for FHS’s alliance. She was one of the few robots with the ability to go under the tunnels and score points. Back row, from left, are Jill Hudson, Matt Milligan, Ryan Chad, Eric Humes, Will Clancy, Matt Holt and Ryan Cook. Middle row, from left, are Jane Skinner, Helen Boone, Sean Zhong, Tavis MacLellon, Jemin Park and Joey Mann. Kneeling are Austin Staub, left, and Lawrence Lei, right. FHS’s Robotics team thanks their sponsor JCPenney (Turkey Creek) for its support and to the team of teachers who helped make this possible: David Galaska, Michelle Debord and Jill Hudson from FHS’s Career and Technical Education department; and Kristin Baksa, Matt Milligan, and Jane Skinner from FHS’s science department. FHS robotics also thanks involved parents.
