Sims, Morton to marry
Herbert and Opal Murray of Parkersburg, W.V. announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Cathy Sims, to Jeffrey Morton, son of C.R. Morton of Friendsville and Martha Morton of Louisville.
She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cecil and Georgia Murray and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Gladys West.
A Farragut resident, the bride elect resides with her sons of the late Mr. James Lee Sims, Bradley and Andrew Sims.
The groom elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mat B. and Wilma Morton of Greenback and the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Vesta Carver of Maryville.
He currently is employed by the Friendsville Post Office, and resides with his son Mat Morton in Friendsville. His daughter Sheri Kirby resides in LaFollette.
The wedding ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 3, at Green Meadow Church of God.
Pastor Donny Baker will officiate the ceremony.
