• Farragut Baseball Camp, led by FHS varsity head coach Matt Buckner, runs from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday, June 7-10, at FHS’s John Heatherly Field. Camp is for ages 6 through rising high school freshman. Cost is $75 per camper. Call 865-368-3141 to sign up.

• Farragut High School varsity football spring practice scrimmage schedule begins at FHS”s Bill Clabo Field versus Morristown West, starting at 5:30 p.m., Friday, May 7; home versus McMinn County, 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 12. Spring practice culminates with the annual Blue-Gray Game beginning at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 15, at Bill Clabo Field.

• Justin Alexander, Webb School of Knoxville senior, pitched his second no-hitter of the season as the Spartans varsity baseball team defeated Davidson Academy 14-0 in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday, May 1. Alexander, a Tennessee Tech commitment, is now 6-0 on the season while the Spartans improved to 18-4, clinching the district championship. In Saturday's game two, the Spartans won 18-2 in five-innings. Senior first baseman Clark Johnson had a perfect day at the plate going 3-for-3 in game one and 2-for-2 in game two that included a double, triple and three RBI. Austin Kerns hit a three-run home run Junior Parker Wormsley and senior Michael Carillon each were 3-for-3.

• Jessie Howard, former Farragut Lady Admirals standout softball infielder (Class of 2006) now excelling at Carson-Newman College, was among four C-N players selected to the 2010 South Atlantic Conference All-Tournament team. Howard, a Lady Eagles senior shortstop, batted .444 with three RBI.

• Dylan Powers, Christian Academy of Knoxville Middle School football player, was selected to the TN/KY Future Stars All-Star Team and will compete in the Inaugural TN/KY All-Star Game this summer. More than 300 middle school football players from across the state were invited to attend the tryout combine. Players selected for the team will travel to Carson-Newman College in June for a three-day mini-camp, followed by a trip to Louisville, Ky. leading up to the June 5 game.

• Hardin Valley Academy Junior Varsity boys soccer team won a 12-team Knox-area tournament by taking the title game Saturday, May 1, at Victor Ashe Park. A 2-0 win versus Knoxville Catholic capped a 4-0 tourney record. Goals in the title game were scored by Chris Gallaher and Hans Galle. “They were all willing to pull together, we has several injuries,” HVA JV head coach David Combs said.
