‘Seasons’ of change
Seasons Cafe introduces liquor by the drink, Sunday brunch

Seasons Café owner and chef Deron Little is making a few changes at his restaurant in Renaissance | Farragut, including offering liquor by the drink and brunch on Sundays.

The biggest change, Little said, is incorporating liquor by the drink.

“We had several requests through our supporters for liquor by the drink. So in order just to meet the need of people who use the restaurant, we brought it in,” Little said.

“The quality of liquors we pour reflects the quality of Seasons. It’s very, very high quality,” he added.

The restaurant has 12 martinis, including its “Signature Cucumber and Lime Martini,” echoing the way Seasons serves water with sliced cucumber.

“Since we have cucumber in the water, we wanted to do a cucumber martini to reflect what we already do,” Little said.

Other martini specialties include Godiva chocolate, French Kiss and pomegranate martinis and a “Woo-woo-tini.”

Seasons has a happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday: appetizers, well drinks, call drinks, wine by the glass and beers all are half-price in the restaurant’s bar area only.

“We’re still featuring our very high quality wine list. That has not reduced at all. It’s just that the liquor by the drink has been added,” Little said.

Sunday brunch also has been reinstated by customer request.

“We had a great brunch before that was very successful and we closed it to allow employees time with family,” Little said.

“But we had so many requests from our guests to open it back up over a couple of years, that we decided to go ahead and bring it back.

“And it is a phenomenal brunch,” he added.

The brunch features freshly baked pastries, an omelet station, a chef-created salad, smoked salmon and shrimp, fresh-baked desserts and breakfast and lunch items that change each week.

“What’s really unique is that we have the only Bloody Mary station and champagne mixing station in Knoxville,” Little said.

“One is focused on Bloody Marys with all kinds of different condiments and juices and mixers, and the champagne station has different pureed fruits, whole fruits and juices to flavor champagne.

“That’s pretty special,” he added.

Seasons Café also has launched its new seasonal menu, featuring 10 new items for the summer.

Seasons, 12740 Kingston Pike, is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. It is open only for brunch on Sundays, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Mondays.
