Class of ’85 turns 25

Farragut High School’s Class of 1985 reunites this weekend.

More than 100 FHS classmates already have said, “I’ll be there.”

David Goff, Class of 1985, said, “Those 400 or 500 people I graduated with had a huge impact in my life.”

The weekend-long event begins with a barbecue at alumni Cliff Kirk’s lakeside home Friday, June 18.

Registration starts at 5:30 p.m. Ott’s Bar-B-Q will open the buffet line and singer David Landeo, “a friend of the class,” will start his concert at 7 p.m.

“It’s all outdoors. We’ve rented a tent. It’s very casual,” Goff said.

Saturday begins with an FHS open house from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Family picnic will be 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Anchor Park; bring your own picnic lunch.

It’s a time to “come and meet the families and see the kids, that kind of thing,” Goff said.

Afterwards, golfers can enjoy a “Golf Outing” at Willow Creek Golf Course for an additional fee. Contact Goff for details.
