FHS students garner awards ...


Farragut High School students took the top 16 of 18 top ranks of the Tennessee Mathematics Teachers Association State Competition held at The University of Tennessee. Dozens of FHS students took the exhaustive test. Hannah Simpkins, in front, leads Miki Nolin, Sahba Seddighi, Adrian Garcia, Shreyas Dahotre, Alex Nehls, Hunkyo Chung, Hao Feng, Ramie Egypt, Lawrence Wang, Gabriel Garcie, Anthony Arcario, Peter Nagy, Evan Noon, Kevin Gayler, Keaton Noon, Richard Xu, Matt Frieling, Amelia Dmowska, Ariel Buehler, Suzannah Ward, Sharon Bao, Maribeth Bottorff, Lydia Hu, Maeve Dempsey, Don Min Lee, Chris Bonnesen, Michael Marshall, Sanket Dahotre, Chris Buckman, Alex Selwitz, Derek Xu, Larry Zhang, Tavis MacLellan, Jon Zetterberg, Greg Woo, Niral Sheth, Ryan Marshall and Jason Chan. Tests were taken in six categories: geometry, algebra I, algebra II, pre-calculus, calculus and statistics. Not pictured are Melissa Yu, Andrew Wintenberg, Lam Tran, Caroline Fu, Edward Ko, Andrew Hanson, Carlos Garcia and Jemin Park.
