Leader returns to double duty with Knoxville Catholic soccer as girls coach

Mark Leader returns to double duty with Knoxville Catholic High School soccer.

Leader, coach of the perennial Class A-AA power KCHS boys soccer team (now Class AAA) that he led to the program’s first-ever state championship in 2008, takes over a Lady Irish program he coached for three seasons (2006-08).

“Mark Leader has been instrumental in the success of both our boys and girls soccer programs over the years,” said Jason Surlas, KCHS athletics director. “He has given so much of himself to the KCHS community, and now with his wife’s blessing, has decided to give a little more.

“I couldn’t be happier that Mark has agreed to resume the duties of head coach of our girls soccer program, as well as continuing to coach the boys,” Surlas added.
