Sullivan’s to open in Franklin Square

Franklin Square will be home to a new restaurant in late fall: Sullivan’s Fine Foods.

“We really want to be a family restaurant,” owner Charles Irvine said of the restaurant, which has locations in Rocky Hill and Maryville.

Construction of the restaurant, which will be located in the former Italian Market & Grill, is still in the design stages.

“We found a spot that fits for us. And we’re still in the design phase … we’re shooting [to open in] the fall, October or November,” Irvine said.

Irvine said he’d been looking at a West Knox County location for Sullivan’s for a while.

“I thought this was a great location and we were able to work with the folks at Franklin Square; they’re really great people,” Irvine said of the Franklin Square spot.

Sullivan’s Fine Foods serves American Nouveau food in a casual, contemporary atmosphere.

“We serve moderately priced food, and everything is homemade — made from scratch.

“We do steaks, seafood. We have our blue-plate section of our menu, which is comfort food. We offer 14 different vegetables in our side dishes. We specialize in our salads,” Irvine said.
