Strike up the band; Admirals practice begins

Farragut High School Marching Admirals Band Camp began this week amid 90-degree temperatures. From front, FHS senior Ryan Cook, freshman Joseph Moore and sophomore M.J. Badgett lead fellow saxophone players in formation. To kick-off this year’s season, band members will perform for the community at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 6, on the FHS junior parking lot. To prepare for this year’s Beatles theme, campers will practice 60 hours outside and 20 hours indoors, learning Beatles tunes, marching commands and formations. The band is directed by Ron Rogers.
