Town bailout

Members of Farragut’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen unanimously agreed to accept the dedication of roads and stormwater system of The Farm at Willow Creek during a special meeting Aug. 5. The stormwater system is in a state of failure and could cost as much as $850,000 to repair. The Town’s out-of-pocket expenses could amount to as much as $146,500. (See story beginning on page 1.) Should the Town bailout failed subdivisions? Should the Town assume “contractor” status to repair substandard roads and stormwater systems? Is this a wise use of Town funds? Could this money have been better used? Call us at presstalk 671-TALK (8255) or e-mail presstalk@farragutpress.com
