ACS 2010 Golf Classic ‘a scramble’


The American Cancer Society 2010 Golf Classic, a four-player scramble at Willow Creek Golf Club Monday, Aug. 2, featured 18 separate men and women teams in morning and evening rounds.

While women participants played red tees at 5,416 yards, men participants played white tees at 6,298 yards.

First Flight champ was Steve Watson team (54), followed by Greg Fritz team (59) and Bobby Fischer team (60).


Second Flight winner was John Stinnette team (62), with Ted Wine Team (64) second and Gene Patterson team (66) third. Third Flight order of finish was Eagle Distributing Team (68), Shawn Norris Team (73) and Coca-Cola Team (74).

About $10,000 was raised, with proceeds benefiting local community with services, research, education and advocacy.
