Hawks Gosselin thinks big

Concerning his golf future, Wes Gosselin is thinking big.

“I want to play on the PGA [Tour],” said Gosselin, Hardin Valley Academy’s two-time Class AAA state tournament qualifier ranked No. 1 statewide, and top 20 nationwide, among all boys high school golfers in the Class of 2012.

This defending District 3-AAA champ (pictured), enters the 2010 season ranked No. 2 in state overall.

HVA head coach Shane Chambers said, “When Wes is on his game, he’s one of the better golfers in Tennessee. I believe his work ethic has made him a very successful golfer.”

Junior Hunter Arnold is a solid No. 2. “They finished in the top 10 of the Tennessee Boys Amateur,” Chambers said. “I consider them two of the best in the state. Hunter’s a great golfer, he’ll score low and he’s long off the tee.”

Hawks’ No. 3 is Tommy Cianciolo, a sophomore, followed by freshman Tyler Johnson, junior Jake Townsend, senior Michael Giblock and junior Chase Steele.
