• Shooting a pair of 36s (nine holes) from juniors Wes Gosselin and Hunter Arnold helped Hardin Valley Academy’s boys golf grabbed the program’s first-ever team victory. That came Monday, Aug. 16, at Oak Ridge Country Club versus ORHS and Knoxville Catholic.

• I.G. Brown Air National Guard Training and Education Center will host its annual Clod Classic golf tournament at Royal Oaks golf course, Maryville, Sept. 3.
