Harris crowned

At this year’s Farragut versus Catholic football game, Sarah Harris capped off what has been the best year for any baton twirler in the state. At the game Sarah was presented with her national championship trophy by Knoxville Catholic principal Dickie Sompayrac and athletic director Jason Surlas. This past summer Sarah competed against 43 other state champions at Notre Dame University. At this event Sarah was crowned miss Majorette of America in the Intermediate Teenage division. Sarah is the first girl from the state of TN to win the twirling worlds most prestigious award. This year Sarah also won the World Open Solo event that recognizes her as being America’s number one twirler in her division. She also became a two time Miss Majorette of the South and a three time Miss Majorette of TN in DMA and NBTA. Sarah is a senior at Knoxville Catholic High School and performs her award winning routines at all Irish home football games
