• At 11:44 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 9, a complainant called Knox County Sheriff’s Office Teleserve Unit to report his 2018 Nissan Altima stolen from the parking lot next to Firehouse Subs, 119 Brooklawn St. Complainant advised an unknown suspect took the locked vehicle without permission. He advised being unsure of where his keys were. Value of loss listed at $12,000.

• At 12:25 p.m., Friday, Sept. 8, a complainant called KCSO West Precinct to report a theft from Weigel’s, 610 N. Campbell Station Road. Complainant advised a suspect came inside the store and picked out the eventual stolen items ($43 worth) for purchase. “Complainant advised the suspect waited until the lines were full to proceed to the front,” the report stated. “… Suspect then proceeded toward the door, nudging customers out of his way leaving the store. Complainant said she tried to get the suspect’s attention, but had no luck.

• At 2:07 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 7, a KCSO unit responded to an Ivy Gate Lane residence regarding vandalism. Complainant witnessed an unknown suspect driving a black Dodge Ram 2500 with a trailer making a turn, damaging the sidewalk curb (about $1,000). When the complainant confronted the suspect, the suspect took off out of the subdivision.

• At 11:06 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 5, a complainant called KCSO North Precinct to report a theft at 11409 Municipal Center Drive. He advised a check was dropped off at Farragut Post Office on June 16. The check was taken and cashed by the suspect at an unknown location June 28. He advised the check was made out to one of the company’s vendors, but was changed to the suspect’s name. He advised the amount was not changed. He said they were not made aware of this until the vendor contacted the company Monday, Aug. 28, about not receiving payment.

• At 6:21 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 3, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report theft from St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Complainant advised an unknown suspect stole a check for $1,500. She received a call from the church stating they received an empty envelope.
