Webster’s Deli closed, new eatery to open

Webster’s Deli closed its doors Tuesday, Oct. 12, after being seized by the Tennessee Department of Revenue.

A sign posted on the door (pictured at right) read, “This property has been seized for nonpayment of Tennessee State taxes by virtue of a levy issued by the Department of Revenue, Tax Enforcement Division as provided by TCA 67-1-1401 thru 67-1-1445. All persons are warned not to remove or tamper with this property, in any manner.”

Webster’s was located in Renaissance | Farragut, and has been under new ownership for the last year.

Webster’s former owner, Sheila Hargis, could not be reached for comment.

Renaissance developer Knick Myers said, “We are pleased to announce that a new restaurant concept is opening up at R|F. Alan Conrad is the proprietor.”
