HVA homecoming

This year was the first Hardin Valley Academy homecoming and seniors Jacob Heglar and Leah Scruggs became the first HVA homecoming king and queen. They were among 13 seniors who took the opportunity to earn the royal title as Hardin Valley Academys first homecoming king and queen. The selection of the court was based on their 3.0 or higher grade point average, the collection of $100 or Second Harvest, the nomination of an HVA organization, meeting multiple deadlines. In order to win the title of homecoming king and queen, they competed and were judged in four different areas: timed essay, professional interview, wall display, and student body vote. Each counted 25 percent of their overall score. Our hopes in setting a new precedence at Hardin Valley Academy, the winning candidate will be observed as a well rounded individual.
