Turner builds strong teeth

Dr. Andy Turner wants parents and children to rest easy when it comes to making orthodontic appointments.

That’s why he and his staff are introducing the “Bracecalade,” a black Cadillac Escalade that will pick children up from school or other activities for their orthodontic appointments, and then drop them off again.

“The purpose behind it is to help parents get their kids to appointments,” Turner Orthodon-tics financial coordinator Edye Titlow said.

“It’s a great service,” she added.

Turner, Board-certified orthodontist, agreed.

“The main goal is to make it convenient for the parents and the kids,” he said.

“We want to offer first class service with good results,” he added.

Marla Wright, Turner’s clinical coordinator, said the Bracecalade gives flexibility to parents who can’t leave jobs, especially in a poor economy.

Titlow said parents weren’t the only ones pleased with the convenience of the Bracecalade.

“The schools love it because they know if they’re leaving with us, they’re going to come back. They’re not just going to be out skipping for the day,” she said.

The Bracecalade isn’t the only service Turner offers that sets his office apart.

Turner Orthodontics offers Invisalign braces, Damon Clear and iBraces, which are placed on the interior side of teeth, rather than the outside.

“We use the most advanced braces,” Turner said.

In addition, Turner is one of the few orthodontic offices in the area to use an icat — an X-ray machine that allows a three-dimensional view, rather than a two-dimensional one.

“You can find things that other X-rays obviously won’t. So you get overall better results and better care for the patient,” Turner said.

Turner Orthodontics has been at its 120 Capital Drive location for a little more than two years. The practice is accepting new patients.

Office hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mondays; from noon to 6 p.m., Tuesdays; from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesdays and from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursdays.

Appointments also can be scheduled before and after school.

“Those hours are convenient for schools and parents,” Turner said.
