In light of traffic ...

A delegation representing Farragut High School, comprised of principal Michael Reynolds and students, petitioned the Farragut Board of Mayor and Aldermen to install a traffic signal at the intersection of Campbell Station Road and the school’s westbound driveway. The delegation cited safety as the main point for the signal. The Town has taken the request under advisement, noting the cost to the Town would be about $100,000. The signal would see its heaviest use primarily an hour before and an hour after school for about nine months each year. Should the Town invest in a traffic signal for the FHS driveway? Do you think this is a wise use of Town money? Would the Town money be better used to reinstate FHS’s driver education course that was deleted due to lack of funding? What do you think?
