The 26th annual BlueCross Autumnfest 8K & Two Mile Walk begins at 8:30 a.m., Thanksgiving Day in parking lot at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in downtown Knoxville's Volunteer Landing. Westside high school varsity basketball teams' schedules for upcoming week include Farragut girls and boys final round games in Gibbs Thanksgiving Tournament Friday and Saturday, Nov. 26-27. Both teams travel to Webb School of Knoxville Tuesday, Nov. 30, with girls game starting around 6:30 p.m. Bearden's boys began play in Puerto Rico (Island Thanksgiving Classic) Tuesday, Nov. 23, and continue Nov. 26-27. The BHS Lady Bulldogs travel to Bradley Central for a Thanksgiving Tournament Nov. 26-28. Both BHS varsity teams travel to Fulton Nov. 30, beginning with girls' game at 6:30 p.m. Hardin Valley Academy's girls and boys teams play in Heritage Thanksgiving Classic at Heritage High School Nov. 26-27. Girls play at 4 p.m., Friday, verses Heritage and 1 p.m., Saturday, against William Blount. Boys play HHS at 5:30 p.m. Friday and WBHS at 2:30 p.m., Saturday. Both teams begin District 3-AAA play at Powell Nov. 30, starting with girls game at 6:30 p.m.

Bobby Fricks, a 6-foot, 235-pound two-time All-District 4-AAA offensive lineman at Farragut High School, has committed to attend Carson-Newman College, an NCAA Division II school.
