Women on Point ’24

Women on Point garnered a regional pull from surrounding counties to attend the first conference to empower women to increase their community impact held at The Venue in Lenoir City on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

The event, presented by Loudon County Education Foundation, Leadership Loudon County Alumni Association, Leadership East Tennessee Association, and the Loudon County Chamber of Commerce saw over 140 attendees sign up to attend. The massive snow fall the week prior to the event impacted attendance.

Emceed by Nancy Barger of the WIVK Joey and Nancy Morning Show, the conference focused on a range of topics related to empowering women to achieve a work-life balance and making an impact on their respective communities. Presenters included Vallie Collins, survivor of the Miracle on the Hudson, a panel discussion with Susie Q Aguilar, Abby Wheeler, Taylor Phipps and Teresa Chasteen-Dunn and moderated by Nancy Barger. Melissa Spangler presented the Peace Index to teach attendees how to evaluate peace in their lives and how to work to balance. Keynote speaker Joan Cronan shared her story and tied together all the elements share during the day to assist women in achieving personal and professional goals in life.

Sponsors included Just Homes Group, JTEKT, Mountain Retreat Cabin Rentals, Exit TLC Realty, and Buckeye Corrugated Incorporated. Premier Residence at Tellico Village sponsored dessert.

Ladies enjoyed an open lunch break which provided the opportunity to network with other participants and speakers.
