Lescotti’s to host fundraiser

Lescotti’s Ameritalian Dining will host a fundraising day for The Water Angel Ministries, a downtown outreach ministry to the homeless.

The Farragut restaurant, 138 West End Ave., will donate 15 percent of its net sales on Sunday, Jan. 23, to The Water Angel Ministries.

“The customer doesn’t even have to come in and say anything about Water Angels or anything. It’s just going to be 15 percent off everything,” Lescotti’s owner Scott Frix said.

“We want to give back to the community.

“We’re really trying to make it a big day, because of course, the bigger the day, the more we’re able to give back,” he added.

This is the first fundraising day that Lescotti’s, which opened late last year, has done, but Frix said he hopes to do more. Other charities and civic groups interested in fundraising days at Lescotti’s could contact Frix.

“We want to do this for basically any private organization that is in need of fundraising that does charitable work” or is community oriented, Frix said.

“It’s basically, if someone needs some help, we’re willing to help,” he added.

Lescotti’s is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday.

For more information, call the restaurant at 865-671-7266.
