Spartans dump Grace

Starting pitcher K.J. Parent fired six innings of shutout baseball, leading Webb School of Knoxville to a 6-1 victory against Grace Christian Academy during Nike Classic at Clinton.

“He had a very good outing to start the year,” Webb head coach Clark Wormsley said of the senior, who struck out five while allowing just one walk. Parker Wormsley pitched one inning of relief.

Offensively for the Spartans, “Jim Dolinak had a big day,” coach Wormsley said of the junior, whose home run and double produced three RBI.

Kyle King, a senior, went 2-of-3 with two RBI, while senior Robby Britt ended 2-of-3 with one RBI.
