Cedar Bluff conference center now open

A new banquet and conference center has opened in a revamped hotel off Cedar Bluff Road.

The 5,000 square-foot Falls Banquet & Conference Center held a grand-opening ceremony in February at 325 N. Cedar Bluff Road.

“It is exciting to have an opportunity to host such a prestigious event for the Knoxville Chamber on the day of our official grand opening,” said Scott Harness, senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Center’s management, North Cedar Hospitality, LLC.

“The facility was created for this community and visitors to the Knoxville area to host everything from business gatherings and conferences to weddings and dinner banquets,” he added.

The Falls Banquet & Conference Center is in front of North Cedar Hospitality LLC’s newest hotel project, Quality Inn & Suites Waterpark Hotel.

“The banquet and conference center, which is a totally separate building apart from the hotel, features over 5,000 square feet of contemporary space, which includes a beautiful pre-function area.

“The main hall is 3,800 square feet and can be divided equally into four sections.  In total, the main banquet hall can accommodate banquets up to 300 and conferences and meetings up to 400,” Harness said.

The main hall also features art, high ceilings and crystal pendant chandeliers.

Harness said the facility could accommodate everything from corporate meetings and conferences to wedding receptions and dinner banquets.

Harness said the company chose West Knoxville on purpose.

“We felt that West Knoxville was underserved in regards to banquet and conference facilities given the area growth and overall demand.

“North Cedar Bluff Road seemed to be an ideal location. It is not only convenient for anyone attending an event at the facility, but also provides sufficient overnight accommodations, restaurants and shopping for those traveling from out of town,” he said.

“The response has been very exciting and we look forward to serving the community for many years to come,” he added.

North Cedar Hospitality, LLC is a Knoxville-based hotel development and management company with properties in greater Knoxville and in Virginia.

North Cedar owns two hotels in Sevier County — the Comfort Suites Kodak at exit 407 and the La Quinta Inn & Suites off Hwy. 66 — and has other hotel plans in West Knox County.

“The company purchased an older hotel off Lovell Road that sits on almost six acres that the company plans to demolish in the near future to make way for two new hotels. Other projects are also in the works at that this time that cannot yet be disclosed,” Harness said.
