Webb Baseball edges West before sweep


Michael Lindstromís seventh-inning two-RBI single broke a 2-2 tie at West, as Webb edged the Rebels 4-3 Tuesday, April 19.

Lindstrom, a junior outfielder, went on to connect for three hits in game one of a commanding doubleheader sweep at Davidson Academy in a Division II-A East-Middle Region showdown Friday, April 22.

The Spartansí region mark improved to 7-1, 18-4 overall.

At West, Lindstrom finished with two hits, including a double, and two RBI. Teammate Brennan Liu also had two hits, punching home one run.

Winning pitcher Clay Tucker was relieved by Parker Wormsley, moving from shortstop to pick-up a save.

In game one at Davidson, a 19-6 romp, Lindstromís offensive success also was enjoyed by Jim Dolinak, who smacked a grand slam.

Winning Spartans pitcher K.J. Parent improved his record to a perfect 5-0.


Whipping Davidson 13-3 in game two, Liu and Kyle King each finished with three hits ó Liu driving in three and King two.

In addition to improving his record to 5-0 on the mound, starting pitcher Wormsley also had two hits, including a double, for three RBI. Garrett Headden homered.
