• Lovell Heights Center, 10400 Kingston Pike, will hold a Spring Fling fundraiser to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, May 21. Each business will be giving away goods or services with a donation to the Second Harvest. Event will include a bounce house for kids, mini donkeys, baby goats, face painting and a live concert from local band Revalation.

• Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley, Knoxville, has received a grant from Foundation to vaccinate dogs for influenza. Canine Influenza Virus is a highly contagious disease that spreads easily from dog to dog, especially those in close proximity. The shelter received a grant for the vaccines as part of a Foundation program to build community immunity against CIV. For more information, visit

• Bennett Galleries will hold an exhibition of contemporary paintings by Knoxville artist Allen Cox at Echo Bistro & Wine Bar from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Friday, May 20. Event will include wine tasting and a meet-and-greet with the artist, followed by dinner for $35 per person for those who wish to remain.

• FBI-LEEDA and LifeLock will present an all-day identity theft summit in Knoxville Tuesday, May 31. Event will be hosted by The University of Tennessee and Knoxville police departments and Knox County Sheriff’s Office. In addition to the event, identity theft experts will be available to do live demonstrations
