The 2011 baseball season has been a voyage filled with adversity for the Farragut High School Baseball team.

The Admirals, three-time defending Class AAA state champs, have managed to overcome every hurdle in their way and Monday, May 16, was no exception.

Farragut dealt with some more adversity in the opening round of the Region 2-AAA Tournament, but the Ads used a pair of big innings to defeat Hardin Valley Academy 11-1 in five innings at HVA.

I say this over and over again, but we've had adversity all year, Farragut head coach Matt Buckner said.

The adversity came early as Admirals' ace Philip Pfeifer left the game after hurling a scoreless first inning.
