Dramatic rally in 9th saves Warriors

Perhaps Christian Academy of Knoxville hitters were just teasing Pigeon Forge pitcher Dakota Hudson before doing some dramatic damage.

Some tease, going eight innings without scoring a run off the Tigers' staff ace constantly failing to get a clutch hit with men on base in a win-or-go-home Region 2-AA semifinal at CAK Monday evening, May 16.

To make matters less teasing, Pigeon Forge scored two runs in the top of the ninth on a cheap infield hit and throwing error with two outs.

But that dramatic damage, five consecutive hits to begin the bottom of the ninth all from the bottom half of CAK's lineup allowed the Warriors to rally for a 3-2 win. The Tigers end up 21-12.
