Knox County Sheriff’s Office patrol officers were dispatched to the parking lot at Kohl’s department store in Farragut in response to an armed robbery report at about 5 p.m., Tuesday, May 17.

Upon arrival, officer Mitchell Buckner determined the alleged crime was an attempted armed robbery and requested KCSO Major Crimes detectives to respond.

Buckner reported that Shelley Rogers Elmore of a Scenic Point Loop address was the alleged victim of the attempted robbery.

According to information gathered from Kohl’s loss prevention video surveillance, the suspect is described as a white male, 18-25 years old, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9-inches tall, 140-150 pounds, little to no facial hair, wearing a black baseball cap with white script letters across the front, a dark colored hoodie with diamond type print, dark colored baggy pants and white sneakers that were untied.
