Heavy rains cause closure

Ruth Hawk, Town Community Development director, told Farragut Municipal Planning Commission that “really heavy rain” Feb. 25, combined with “roof drains on this building [that] got clogged” created the problem, which was recognized by a structural engineer.

Jimmy Taylor, owner of Associated Design Group, Inc., Knoxville, “promptly” shut down La Petite’s building in March, which remains closed pending completion of a new “sloped” roof, it was revealed during FMPC’s meeting Thursday evening, May 19.
