Parker, Pharr CAK teams make it to Murfreesboro
‘Overachieving’ Diamond Warriors whip Unicoi

With 27 wins in 34 games, culminating with a 10-3 Section 1-AA victory at Unicoi County punching its ticket to the state tournament, Christian Academy of Knoxville Baseball is overachieving.

“I think they’ve definitely, probably achieved more than I though they could,” CAK head coach Tommy Pharr said. “We’ve come a long way, we’ve got a great group of guys. ... From a chemistry standpoint, it’s just a joy for them to be around each other.”

The Warriors opened Class AA state tourney play Tuesday (after deadline) versus Lexington (26-10). Also in CAK’s bracket/division are Polk County (24-11) and Dekalb County.
