Ads ‘4-peat’ without Pfeifer?

Farragut High School's baseball team will play for a fourth consecutive Class AAA State Championship.

That’s the good news.

The bad news is that senior lefty Philip Pfeifer, Tennessee high school state record-holder for all-time career pitching wins, “is finished, unless we find out something different.”

That’s from Matt Buckner, FHS head coach, adding the team’s pitching rock and staff ace has “a shoulder injury, we don’t know what all the details are.”

Pfeifer “is the greatest pitcher who’s ever pitched at Farragut High School,” Buckner said.
