• Led by seven Bearden SoccerDawgs — District 4-AAA MVP Seth Williams, a senior defender; Goalkeeper of the Year Jamie White and Defender of the Year Adam Wojnar — All-4-AAA honors recently were announced. Two players from Knoxville Catholic, district tourney champs, were honored: Midfielder of the Year Tim Baker and Coach of the Year Mark Leader. Other Westside All-4-AAA First Team honorees are, from Bearden, Conner McCarty, Carter Wykoff, Sean Yoder and Andrew Fulcher. From Farragut are Carlos Garcia, Logan Heidinger and Paul Neuefeind. Other Irish first team honorees are Mark Mishu, Michael Bonfini, Luke Wegryn and Suddy Hutchens. Second Team honorees are James Ferguson of Bearden, Tyler Rhone from Farragut and KCHS’s Ben Sanders and Andrew Tilston.

• Five Webb School of Knoxville Spartans Varsity Baseball players have been named to the 2011 Division II-A East/Middle All-Region Team: catcher Joe Hall, left fielder Kyle King, second baseman Brennan Liu, third baseman/pitcher KJ Parent and shortstop/pitcher Parker Wormsley. In addition, Wormsley was named MVP of East-Middle Region Tournament. He was joined on the All-Region tourney team by outfielder Jim Dolinak, Liu and Parent.

• Town of Farragut Parks and Leisure Services Department invites community members ages 13 and up to participate in its 3rd Annual Kickball Tournament set to begin at 1 p.m., Sunday, June 5, at Mayor Bob Leonard Park off Watt Road.
