Warriors Soccer out in semis

Dave Parker's rookie coaching season at Christian Academy of Knoxville ended with his Warriors Soccer team finishing two wins short of state title gold.
Things started well for the Warriors (18-6-2), crushing Dyersburg 4-0 in opening round Class A-AA state tourney action Tuesday, May 24, at Richard Siegel Soccer Complex in Murfreesboro.
Despite a 20-12 edge in shots-on-goal against eventual state champ Chattanooga Christian (18-3-2) one day later, CAK suffered a 2-1 semifinal setback. Stevie Thompson’s goal was assisted by Ben Holt in the 42nd minute.
