BOMA holds traffic calming, speed hump workshop


Putting up guardrails within town of Farragut limits can prevent cars from running out of control into residents’ yards.

But guardrails “can also split a car in two,” said Darryl Smith, Town engineer, citing an example about the sometimes tricky nature of implementing traffic calming procedures.

Smith discussed aspects of the Town’s Traffic Calming Policy during a Farragut Board of Mayor and Aldermen workshop Thursday, May 12.
