Outlet Drive ‘platting’ hurdle cleared

Knox County crews are “hoping to begin construction” on the extension and widening of Outlet Drive, which will connect with a realigned Snyder Road, “in the next fiscal year, after July 1.”

That target date, told by Town Community Development director Ruth Hawk during Farragut Planning Commission’s Thursday, May 19, meeting in Town Hall, requires “the right-of-way to be platted so they can get started on the construction.”

This “final plat for Outlet Drive extension,” located west of Cotton Eyed Joe’s, included platting six lots. This was approved unanimously by FMPC vote (Commissioner Cynthia Hollyfield absent) subject to completing 12 staff recommendations.
