FMPC make changes to reduce speeding

Speeders were the topic for one item on Farragut Municipal Planning Commissionís agenda Thursday, June 16.

Commission unanimously approved multiple variances from Farragut Subdivision Regulations to allow narrower roads with more curves in a proposed condominium project off Turkey Creek Road.

The Villas at Anchor Park is set to be built across the street from Anchor Park and will include condominiums on both sides of a single entrance road that will proceed up a hill.

Community Development Director Ruth Hawk said the concern was drivers might unintentionally speed down the hill, as drivers tend to do in other area subdivisions with steep hills.
