Publix coming to Northshore Center

Publix has announced it will enter the Knoxville market with its first store to open at Northshore Town Center.

“We are proud to offer our unique shopping experience to customers in Knoxville,” said Todd Jones, president of Publix Super Markets, in a press release on www.businesswire.com/

According to the release, the new grocery could be open in the development “as early as third quarter 2012.”

The store will come in at around 56,000 square feet and will include a full-service deli; bakery; produce, meat and seafood departments, as well as a pharmacy.

Publix is expected to announce other Knoxville-area locations in coming months, and Turkey Creek Land Partners principal John Turley hinted one of those locations might be in Turkey Creek at a Farragut Economic Development Committee tour of Turkey Creek Public Market earlier this spring.
