• Hardin Valley Academy softball tryouts for incoming freshmen girls and those already attending HVA will be held beginning at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, July 28, at HVA's softball field. Field is located at 11345 Hardin Valley Road.

• Coach Wayne Moose's Town of Farragut Men's Softball League team, Calhoun's, won its Spring division with a 6-1 record and finished No. 2 in the tournament.

• Legacy Parks Foundation is hosting a series of guided hikes on local trails this summer free of charge and appropriate for families who want to get active and outdoors.
