ESK Lobster bake a big success

About 370 guests attended an on-campus lobster dinner at The Episcopal School of Knoxville May 7, raising more than $143,000 to benefit the school’s annual fund.

Jimmy and Shelley Rodefer of Rodefer Moss & Co. LLC were presenting sponsors of the event, the 5th Annual ESK Lobster Bake & Saints’ Gala. Jacque Clem was event chair. Oliver Smith was auctioneer for the evening. Proceeds of the event will benefit the school’s programs including technology, library services, athletics and scholarships.

“Bidding Away Again in Margaritaville” was theme of the event that featured live Maine lobster from The Shrimp Dock, a flip-flop dress code and live and silent auction and dancing under a big tent on the school grounds. Guests snacked on shrimp cocktail, fried macaroni and cheese, six kinds of French fries, and sliders catered by All-Occasion Catering. Bob’s Package Store provided wine for the evening.
